PROJECT PHASES EXPLAINED
Consultation (1 - 2 Hours) The initial consultation is a critical first step in the design process. This session, lasting between one to two hours, allows us to understand your vision, preferences, and requirements. During this meeting, we discuss the scope of the project, your style preferences, functional needs, and any specific elements you wish to incorporate. It’s also an opportunity to address any questions or concerns you might have, ensuring that we are aligned with your expectations from the outset. Design Exploration (7 - 8 Days) Following the initial consultation, our team embarks on a thorough design exploration phase that spans seven to eight days. During this time, we develop multiple design concepts that reflect your style and functional needs. This phase involves researching materials, furniture, and decor options, as well as creating initial sketches and digital renderings. The aim is to explore various possibilities and generate innovative solutions that best meet your requirements. Presenting Design (1 - 2 Hours) Once the design concepts are ready, we schedule a presentation session that lasts one to two hours. In this meeting, we showcase the proposed designs, including detailed visuals and mood boards. We walk you through each element, explaining the choices and how they align with your vision. This is a collaborative session where you can provide feedback and express any preferences or changes you would like to see in the final design. Design Revisions (2 - 3 Days) Based on your feedback from the design presentation, we proceed with revisions. This phase typically takes two to three days, during which we refine the design to incorporate your suggestions and adjustments. Our goal is to ensure that the final design perfectly matches your vision and meets all your requirements. We remain in close communication with you during this time to confirm that the revisions align with your expectations. Service Agreement Issued Once the design is finalized, we issue a service agreement. This document outlines the scope of work, timelines, costs, and other relevant details. It serves as a formal agreement between you and Coleman Design Company, ensuring that both parties are clear on the deliverables and terms of the project. Invoice Sent for Services Following the service agreement, we send an invoice for the design services. This invoice covers all the work done during the consultation, design exploration, presentation, and revisions phases. Prompt payment of this invoice is crucial to maintaining the project schedule. Final Approval of Decor/Labor Before proceeding with purchases and labor scheduling, we seek your final approval on the selected decor and labor plans. This step ensures that you are completely satisfied with all the choices made and that there are no last-minute changes. Your approval allows us to move forward with confidence, knowing that the project is aligned with your vision. Establishing Timeline With final approval in place, we establish a detailed timeline for the project. This timeline includes key milestones and deadlines for various phases of the project, ensuring that everything proceeds in an organized and timely manner. It serves as a roadmap that guides the project from start to finish. Invoice Sent for Decor/Labor An invoice covering the costs of decor and additional labor is then sent. This invoice reflects the budget previously agreed upon. It is important to clear this invoice promptly to ensure that purchases can be made and labor can be scheduled without delays. Invoice Clearance (4 - 6 Days) We anticipate the clearance of invoices to take approximately four to six days. During this time, we prepare for the subsequent phases, ensuring that all financial transactions are settled to avoid any interruptions in the project workflow. Purchasing/Scheduling of Labor Once the invoices are cleared, we proceed with purchasing the approved decor items and scheduling the necessary labor. This step involves coordinating with suppliers and professionals to ensure that all materials and services are ready for the implementation phase. Establishing 2-3 Labor Days We schedule two to three days dedicated to labor activities. These days are focused on tasks such as painting, carpentry, electrical work, and any other structural or preparatory work required for the design. Careful scheduling ensures that these activities are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Establishing 2-3 Styling/Installation Days Following the labor days, we allocate two to three days for styling and installation. During this phase, our team sets up the decor, arranges furniture, and adds the finishing touches to bring the design to life. This is where the space is transformed into the vision we have collaboratively developed. Photographing of Space (if needed) If desired, we can arrange for professional photography of the completed space. This service captures the final design in high-quality images, which can be used for your personal records, social media, or portfolio purposes. Photographs serve as a lasting reminder of the transformation and the collaborative effort involved in creating your perfect space.
